In All the World’s a Classroom, episode 1, Professor Ian Cunningham spoke a little about the learning agreement he makes with students at the South Downs Learning centre, so I asked him to elaborate. This short podcasts illustrates the nature of the agreement and how it has been developed with the students.

All the World’s a Classroom, Episode 1.
First broadcast in the UK on Oneword radio - November 2nd 2007.
Hosted by Phil Viner, this is the first in an on-going series for Oneword radio looking at education and learning in the 21st century. The world is changing faster than the traditional institutions of the classroom and the school, causing immense strain on them. This show is a journey towards understanding how learning can be re-imagined in this brave new world.
Joining Phil for Episode 1 is Rose Luckin, who has researched and analysed new technologies in education for many years and is a professor at the London Knowledge Lab, part of the Institute of Education. Fred Garnett is an expert in community teaching and social and inclusion and Professor Ian Cunningham has helped to develop the concepts of self-managed learning and runs the South Downs Learning Centre.
